How do I join?
It is super simple! Anyone interested in volunteering may stop by TSCFD Station 1 (108 Water Street) at any time Monday-Friday between 8:00am and 4:30pm to get an application or go to Files and print the application. Individuals under the age of 18 must fill out a Junior Firefighter application and anyone 18 or older must fill out a volunteer application. Once the application is filled out, drop it off at TSCFD Station 1 for Chief Nathan Nation to review. Chief Nation will get back with all applicants regarding the next steps for the individual.
Benefits of Volunteering
Becoming a volunteer firefighter not only provides a service to the community but also builds valuable life skills for the individual. Members will learn team building tactics, communication skills, equipment operations, and so much more. It also gives the member a sense of responsibility and purpose to provide a necessary service to their own community. Members will gain a second family at the firehouse and have the opportunity to be involved in numerous community events on behalf of the fire district throughout the year.
